- What is the phone number and fax number for the center? Our phone number is 901-590-1597, and the fax number is 901-590-1599.
- What are the center hours? The center hours are 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Where are you located? 1026 Madison Avenue, Memphis TN 38104.
- When may associates use the center? The TodayCare center is designed to assist parents during their working hours. So, if an associate is scheduled to work on a given day when a child care need arises, he or she may use the center. Also, PRN and Supplemental Associates may use the center on days they are scheduled to work at any Methodist Le Bonheur facility.
- What services will the center offer ? The center will offer infant transition care, back-up care for children ages 6 weeks through 12 years and mildly ill care for children 6 weeks through 12 years of age.
- What is Transitional Infant care? This program is for parents returning from maternity leave or adoption leave regardless of the age of the infant. It will be available for up to 16 weeks or 80 days. The fee for this service is $25.00 per day.
- For sick care, do you have a nurse? Yes, there will be a nurse on site.
- Do I have to bring an original immunization card ? No, your child's physician may fax a copy of the official Tennessee immunization form to the center at 901-590-1599. Physicians often refer to this form as the "daycare form".
- What happens if I do not have a copy of my immunization card? We must have a copy of your child's immunization form along with other pertinent enrollment papers on file before you can use the center.
- Will the center provide lunch for my child? No, children will need to bring a morning and afternoon snack and a lunch with them. Milk and water will be provided as drinks.
- What happens if I forget my child’s lunch? You will be asked to go get a lunch for your child. The center will not have lunch materials available.
- Can I take my child out to lunch while they are attending the center? Yes, you may pick your child up and sign them out for lunch or you may bring a lunch and eat with them in the classroom.
- How much do I pay when my child attends the center? The co-pay rates are per day. They are $10 per day for Mildly Ill care, $20 per day for back-up care and $25 per scheduled day for Transition Infant care whether used or not. All fees due at the time you sign your child into the center.
- How can I pay for my child care? You can pay with either cash, check, debit/credit card or FSA card.
- Is the fee a reimbursable expense under the Methodist Le Bonheur Dependent Care Expense Reimbursement Plan? Yes, TodayCare will provide a receipt for this purpose.
- Can I visit my child during the day? Yes.
- Can I call to check on my child during the day? Yes, we will be glad to provide you with information on how your child is doing.
- What happens if my child gets sick while at the center? You will be notified immediately, and if there is a spot available on the mildly ill side we will move them to a sick room. If not, you will be asked to come and pick up your child.
- Are reservations required? Yes. Reservations can be made up to 3 months in advance or they can be made at the last minute. If you make a reservation after hours, you should wait for a call back before coming to the center.
- What do I bring with my child? All personal items, diapers, wipes, bottles, lunch and snacks. Label all items that are brought to the center with the child's name.
- What happens if my child wakes up in the middle of the night sick? Call the center and leave a message for the nurse. She will arrive at 6:00 a.m. and return phone calls. Please wait for a phone call before coming to the center to ensure a spot for your child is available.
- Can my grandchildren attend the center? Yes, if you are the legal guardian and have custody of the child.
- How many days a year can I use the center? You can use the center 45 days for Back-up care, but no more than 10 consecutively. Unlimited days are allowed for Mildly Ill care. Transition Infant care may be used for 16 weeks or 80 days.
- If I have multiple children do they each get 45 days? Yes each child receives a full complement of days.
- What will my child do while at they are at the center? Your child will have the opportunity to play in the block center, science and nature center, and the listening center. They will be able to dress up, play games, put puzzles together, play in home living, do art, and play outside when weather permits.
- How secure is the facility? There is a secure entrance into the center. Parents must use an ID card or key pad in order to gain entrance.
- Can someone other than a parent drop off and pick up a child? Yes, if the person has been designated on the registration information.
